Norders is a New Nordic creative network with an aim to strengthen Nordic co-operation between young people and to develop co-operation opportunities for commong growth. With most unicorn companies per capita, Happiest continent in rankings and leading within equality and sustainability we have a lot to give to the world. The concept creates a platform for collboration which stimulates local and global growth opportunities based on the Nordic core strengths and shared values.

Summary

The Nordic model is one of the oldest in the world, proven to work, but has not been officially framed or utilized for sustainable growth practices in Europe and beyond. The results of the model can be seen across the new Nordic continent to reduce poverty, increase life quality, close social gaps and create growth stories such as Spotify, Klarna, Bolt and Angry Birds. With a focus on all the core aspects of life; society, economy, people and resources we have all the elements to create a platform where we take care of the people, fairly. Take care of the environment, sustainably. Distribute national income as evenly as possible allowing sustainable growth, not just for a few but for all. 
 

Norders Impacr ry prioritises activities that promote a broader understanding of the positive effects of Nordic co-operation to create a community and platform for the people to learn and share. Based on the Nordic best practices, a framework has been established and Norders aims to utilize the Nordic shared values: Trust, compassion, equality, openness, creativity, innovation and sustainable development. 

By utilizing Nordic values ​​and design, combined with research of the leading organizations, new synergies are created with greater benefits for the entire region, both locally and globally. With teams already in three New Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden and Denmark) we aim to create a pan-nordic community, with the aim to educate, connect and inspire. Norders task is to function as the platform housing and analyzing the leading organizations creating best practices that can be utilized for global growth. In addition we host events, workshops and more to help the ecosystem grow. 

Key objectives for sustainability

Norders aims to provide individuals, especially the youth, access to the information about the importance of incorporating sustainability to all aspects of innovation with the New Nordic companies as examples to both learn from and work with. In the first phase of the project we have onboarded several New Nordic organizations to work with and gained support from the Nordic Council of Ministers. With strong links to existing concepts targeting sustainability such as COP26, the food ecosystems, Nordic Co-operation and more we aim to function as the link between these projects and the New Nordic youth to allow a community and academy platform to collaborate and learn.

Teams of young people and professionals are guided within the Norders platform to get guidance in applying SDG based sustainability aspects to activities. Focusing especially on the vision of green, positive and sustainable life in the future functions as the guiding North Star throughout the various activities. The goal of Norders is not only to innovate and develop sustainable solutions but to allow an environment where best practices across the New Nordic region can be shared so that more effective results focused on problems can be carried out on scale. 

As an end result the members gain more access to best practices and support regarding sustainability, allowing the organizations to learn and grow on a sustainable basis. The best practices are then saved and opened up to the rest of the communit allowing a source of best pracitces to be created within a shared data bank. Lastly, we follow up and analyze these on a constant basis to understand the effect on a larger scale. These are then further presented on major events such as Nordic Day which we co-organize yearly.  

Key objectives for aesthetics and quality

Norders is more than only a creative community and academy. Norders is also a creative agency with around 20 creative professional across the New Nordic region. With the help of the creative agency we are not only able to educate and inspire people, but also turn the data gained into the best growth models in the digital era we also call the 'New Normal'.

With the information we can gain from the community we are able to create models that we can either provide or educate to both individuals and organizations. During 2021 we will focus on developing courses about the Nordic Model, about SDG as the driving force for ventures and how the shared Nordic values create growth. All of these will be built leveraging the Nordic brand and the prework done by the ministry to build upon the leading service design we have in the Nordics. For this we have partnered with the University of Lapland. 

The Nordics have most unicorn companies per capita, our job is to stay up to date why and turn your solutions and ideas through the best branding, data-driven marketing practices, advertising, design, service development and business innovation into solutions that grow with you. Our platform provides you with the best talent in the industry to help you identify and act on new opportunities, and build more profitable customer relationships in the future. 

Key objectives for inclusion

It is important to understand that the Nordic model is not bound only to the landmasses up north, but a model that allows people to freely work from a shared value base. The goal is to allow people a platform to work together on a pan Nordic level but also to create a better platform for people to settle in the New Nordic region. Based on recent surveys Nordics are far low in the listings of how easy it is to settle in the countries and thus to make the contintent more inclusive we need to address the integration problems. This is done through better integration practices allowing "Norders" a platform to meet other people but also to connect with organizations that offer in-demand opportunities. With our platform we can offer the talent opportunities from leading organizations while we allow them to get the skills they need through our academy approach. 

All in all we have a complete platform allowing anyone to become a Norder and allowing them with the support and skills they need. We hope to see a future Nordic region that is diverse, inclusive and full of opportunities whoever you are or wherever you are from.

Innovative character

The innovative character of the concept is the flywheel consisting of three key elements - Community, Academy and Agency. All these three elements fuel each other allowing a platform of scale. 

The Community unites people based on the shared value base allowing an environment for people to learn, share information, connect and be inspired. The community works as the touchpoint between the leading organizations and doers transforming their knowledge to information that the rising stars can obtain.

The Academy is the driving force of skill development focusing on two main aspects focusing on 1) education about the Nordic best practices increasing the know how of the Nordics 2) In-Demand skills to close the gaps within the Nordic employment field leveraging global doers. This way we are able to build more diverese work environments and leverage the best growth practices globally

The Agency works in creating the best creative growth practices with the help of the best creative talent across the continent. We work with organizations across the region implementing this practices creating effective growth and turning those into best practices used on scale.

Together these create a closed flywheel of growth with the community connecting people, the academy educating and the agency implementing and inspiring.
