Project Description
The artist Radu Stefan creates a universe of superimposed layers and paper relief to give life to works that enchant the eye and create a magical effect characteristic of his 3D light&shadow boxes.
The city, nature and architectural utopia are the subjects he most often tackles in this work. He regularly presents his work on the Belgian and international art scene and has twice received the PRIX DU PUBLIC for his work.

Description of the project
Summary
(French to English translation)
"A utopian kingdom, a country where I'd like to fly
Is a creative art project, based on my work and ready to be exhibited according to the program.
It is an artist's vision that can accompany the big New European Bauhaus project with a physical exhibition of recent and not so recent works.
The works are Cut Out 3D light & shadow boxes of various sizes.
The subject is in harmony with the requested themes: sustainability and aesthetics.
The works: A mixed technique with superimposed layers for the creation of the relief scene and a play of LED-lights on some works.
Relatively unknown to the public, this 3D Cut Out technique plunges the spectator into a fantastic, imaginary world, a world of childhood, often with a story to tell and details to discover.
The sometimes unexpected aspect in these works of representing cities where buildings, factories, skyscrapers, cables, trees with their roots and vegetation are piled up, is the result of observation and reflection on our very complex and sometimes unusual organizational structures in society.
The work aims to be an aesthetic and fascinating representation of the human adventure on or under the Earth
According to my vision, man must integrate harmoniously into the environment and space in which he evolves.
Through its visual and conceptual construction, the work incites the viewer to a search for a metaphysical and spiritual nature in the fact that man no longer seeks to dominate others, but to open up and connect with his environment: nature.
The mysteries of the city, seemingly unusual and phantasmagorical, reveal themselves to any sincere seeker.
This relationship between man, the city and nature can be compared, among other things, to the inseparable relationship between mother and fetus.
The work shows a poetic look that is easy to understand.
Key objectives for sustainability
The project is related to the theme requested by N.E.B. But it remains an artistic project of harmonization of humanity and nature.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
The objectives of the project are the realization of an exhibition - or several exhibitions - based on my work Cut Out 3D light & shadow boxes.
And the creation of a permanent work for NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS. Project to be defined later.
Key objectives for inclusion
It is a project created only by myself, alone, without the participation of other people. The artists, you know.....
Results in relation to category
There is no search for the realisation of concrete projects, to build or construct a district or a city in a different way. The aim is utopian, visual, artistic. Art does not always have a useful or usable purpose. It is art, poetry, fantasy, utopia.
How Citizens benefit
.... Dream, look at the creations, fly, smile, there is nothing else to do in this project... except in collaboration with other artists. Who knows?
Physical or other transformations
