Project Description

Bird watching is a hobby that I have recently acquired with my environment. For this reason, my new field of work will be the relationship between nature and art. My main material is birds. Birds are an interesting field of study with their rituals on living together, nature and environment relations, and acting individually and in groups. It also draws attention as one of the animal species most affected by climate changes in recent years, the damage caused by plastic waste to nature and wars.

Description of the project

Summary

Birds are among the creatures that most feel human-induced effects in their natural habitats. During my bird watching process, I had the chance to see human-induced problems up close. Based on these problems, I thought about what we can do for the birds and this project emerged. The main idea of the project is to show people the human-induced difficulties experienced by birds, especially on their migration routes, and to raise awareness.

Key objectives for sustainability

The transmission power of art is neither in big media organizations nor in advertisements. If something is to be done for nature and the environment, it must be different from slogans and advertisements. The project I intend to do meets this. If we can feel the difficulties that the birds go through. If we can understand that these difficulties are human-induced. We can be more willing and constructive in solving these problems. The aim of the exhibition is to convey that realism and difficulties to people interactively and to make them feel intellectually and abstractly.

The dark room in the exhibition, the plastics scattered around will increase the feeling of restlessness in people and I hope that it will mobilize them about nature. A multi-faceted artistic work will take place, mainly utilizing the branches of illustration, animation and installation.

Key objectives for aesthetics and quality

my work can be reproduced and reproduced. At this point, I believe that you can encourage young people, even children, and raise awareness in them. In this direction, I am happy to have made an artistic production that has both aesthetic and conceptual value. The merging of art with different fields has always contributed to the growth, dissemination and attention of the field it unites with. The power of thousands of documents published about the second world war is not more than Guernica's power. This project will create awareness by using the power of art.

Key objectives for inclusion

We can all be powerless and helpless in the face of nature. This state of helplessness equalizes us. After this point, language, religion, race and gender differences do not exist. I think we are all equally indebted to nature, which equates us to weakness. Living a life with as little harm as possible to nature is the greatest legacy to be left to future generations. In this study, the extent of the damage we have done to nature is reflected in an artistic language. We can deeply feel how terrible results even a plastic that we use and leave to nature can create.

Physical or other transformations

Innovative character

My first solo exhibition, Compliation, touched on the relationship between art and sports. With the analogies I made, I made a series of pictures to prove that the common emotion under the two headings is the concept of passion. Starting from there, I can say that the main title "freedom", which brings together all issues such as equality, reproduction, aesthetics, nature and environment, symbolizes the freedom of a bird, the freedom of all of us. A bird that cannot fly because of a plastic sticking to its feet is a symbol that we are all captive. We can only be as free as a bird whose freedom we interfere with in nature. With the project made in this context, we will approach environmental problems from another window with the power of art and feel it completely conceptually and abstractly in a non-didactic way.
