Summary
Marabunta Acción Social is a multilateral Platform to democratize donation regardless of the amount to be donated. The companies on the one hand and NGOs on the other are associated with the platform, one as an active part to donate together with their employees and the other as a provider of social projects receiving these donations. We connect them and grow the social ecosystem. This social marketplace is being developed in Spain, but being a completely scalable and exportable model for Europe.
The close contact with the associations led us to want to help them and to carry out a broader study on the needs of the social ecosystem, where we detected multiple and different problems for NGOs, Donors and Companies:
- Companies want to contribute more social action and return to society part of the benefits they obtain from it, work with their employees and improve their image internally and externally, but they do not know how to promote actions, they do not have dedicated personnel or it has a high cost for them.
- Donors distrust, do not receive information or transparency of donations, perceive external and insecure processes to donate.
- NGOs need recurring funds, are highly dependent on grants, are atomized, have no visibility or contact with the individual donor or companies.
Faced with all these problems, we proposed to launch a common solution to try to solve them all, and supported by the idea of the multitude of ants effect, propose a new technological platform where donations from companies and employees are channeled to NGO projects, to thus creating an important community for the promotion and growth of all types of projects, as well as helping companies to develop and transform their Corporate Social Responsibility.
Key objectives for sustainability
Our project is focused on helping in all the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. We collaborate with all kinds of non-profit associations, of any type (environment and climate, hunger, poverty, health, etc.) to meet and impact the beneficiaries of its social projects, exponentially multiplying the social impact. On the other hand, we favor and provide tools to companies to be able to work together with their employees on social action and corporate social responsibility, thus becoming active elements of the social ecosystem.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
We want to incorporate new technologies into the social ecosystem. We want to bring new fundraising tools to NGOs in an easy and efficient way. Marabunta Acción Social must become a great social community where all the parties involved in the social process feel involved, share their emotions and interact in the search for a better future for the planet.
Key objectives for inclusion
The social platform Marabunta Acción Social works to achieve:
- Equal opportunities so that all NGOs can raise funds from private donors and companies of any size, being able to provide back information and sensitivity about their social projects in return.
- Public and citizen participation, because it is a platform open to everyone, democratizing donations and social projects, exponentially multiplying the social impact thanks to the entire community.
- Accessibility, it is an open, social platform, hoping to be global.
- Affordability, since it is free for donors.
Results in relation to category
We launched the platform during 2021, carrying out concept tests at the end of the year. We are studying how to build a way to measure the impact of our strength through the beneficiaries of the social projects of the associated NGOs.
How Citizens benefit
The beneficiaries are, first, all the beneficiaries of the social projects of the associated NGOs where donations from companies and associated donors are directed, second, the donors, the companies that can access the social ecosystem and develop their corporate social responsibility.

Innovation comes from the model developed through a marketplace where we connect donors with NGO projects, very focused on companies that want to develop their corporate social action.

Marabunta Acción Social is a non-profit association whose main objective is to contribute to the social ecosystem by offering new channels and ways for the development of all kinds of social projects. We bring social projects closer through the marketplace, democratizing donations, especially focused on small and medium-sized companies.
