It would build an innovate fashion style called unisex, that caris a feel of belonging on a municipality, beating traditional steriotypes.  Meanwhile, promoting recycling, gender inclusion and sustainability.

Description of the project

Summary

It's a new public space with new and positive intergenerational exchanges of clothes, exclusively for neighbours in between themselves.

This new fashion would influence in towns as it will be visuable daily. In a long term, it would carry a sense of belonging on a municipality.

It's a process of cicles of reusing clothes automatically desinfected with a spray machene installed in the interior of our transparent big box of "Clothes-drop off". It's transparent so we can see which clothes are inside and how it works.

1. we deinfect our hands with the box's spray button, then scan our fingerprint/biometrics of our index.

2. we scan the QR, to see the instructions.

3. we put in clothes.

4. chose and take out.

The social change that we are looking forward is that communities start viewing clothes as if no colour or shape determines our masculinity or femeninity, this meas, that any person of any gender can wear whatever colour or shape of textile they'd like to, wich implies that we think as them rather as Unisex, from now on. In other words, inclusion, beating sexism, and pomoting freedom of expression (a human right), as style is a way of self-expression. It all in all is a vital social evolution. It's also a reutilisation of fabrics and a way of promoting recycling, looking into the future and sustainability nuance. In consequence, this exchange of clothes disregardin our gender and generation, leads to integration and community engagement in reutilising and beating social steriotypes.

For this motif, our box, will not separate in between clothes of one gender or of the other, but, only by sizes. IN addition, when scanning a QR sticker from the exterior of our box and once we scan our fingerprint/biometrics, we will be able to chose on our devices which trousers or bottom part we would like and which top part, each person may select a maximum of 1 each, for each time they give in to our box, 1 of each.

As a whole: It's a local solution to our carbon footp

Key objectives for sustainability

It's sustainable because it is run by a solar panel, which is sustainable energy, and in Spain, for instance we have a lot of sun. It could also be applied to other countries with more Sunny days than cloudy days.

In the fabrics aspect, it's also sustainable because it reuses textiles.

It is an initiative of the European Union, since many years,  to decrease the carbon emissions and this project would help a lot as to produce clothes contaminates too much (2.700L of water for 1 cotton t-shirt) and we have to change this somehow. Our Clothes Drop-off would reduce obtaining 2 types of clothes with 0 carbon emissions. This multyplied by all habitants would make a very positive drastic carbon emission change, as our box would serve most neighbours because it contains all sizes from XXS-XXL. The reason is that it's interior is vertically devided in 7 sections of clothes of each size. In the minoritary case, that our size is XXXL, we will be given a boucher from the town-hall to obtain it from another person with an XXXL or XXXS, and so on, size. While, it's horizontally got 2 parts, 1 for the incoming clothes and the other for the outcoming.

Less clothes will be bought, and by consequence, more reused, and less contamination, this would improve our future and the enviroment's.

Key objectives for aesthetics and quality

In the aesthetics theme, the new style created would be unisex, that is a pretty innovate look, that we can obtain in many high standard and international shops. They even have their own section for this style.

The town would look more modern and impressing with our box and it's contemporary looks.

As for the quality of experience, it would create upon people the sense of productivity in reusing clothes and creating clean and sustainable/renovable energy that works, and a good neighborhood, which would develop a feeling of positive neighborhood and belonging to the project and the area in which it's implied.

The good aspect of this project gives a good impression on people and this provoques satisfaction to the neighborhood.

Key objectives for inclusion

It includes every gender and almost every size of clothes,  when someone has size XXXS or XXXL and so on, they can get a voucher from the town hall, so it's inclusive.

Our box turns on using the index fingerprint, that most people have and if not, it can be used with another finger, that is registered on that persons' ID.

In the case that they don't they will get a voucher to exchange their clothes in person. The other possible situation is that the person cannot go to our box, in this case, with their authorisation, another person can go for them and exchange clothes in person with someone else from town, also using a town hall's voucher (with date and h.).

The participation is totally public and cost free/affordable/0 cost, so there's equality accessibility and fairness in the class and circumstances' aspect. As a consequence, here, we have a connection with affordability of the State, but this time, in the aspect that the State would better afford the mental heath section, as there would be less depression. Thus, a decrease in expenses in depression or mental health illnesses cases, being a common benefit for society.

Innovative character

It's related to these 3 principles:

Sustainability, in favour of the EU's climate goals, and SDGs of beating climate change and reducing carbon emissions, to circularity, here of clothes, 0 contamination, as the solar panel of our box is renonable and clean energy, and thus, doesn't affect biodiversity.

Aesthetics, here, of the transparent box, because it looks quite futuristic, and homogeneous from the outside, quality of experience and style, because of it's easy and technologycal functioning, that goes above functionality,

Inclusion of all sex, of all ages and of people from all economic-classes, valuing diversity of races, cultures, etnies and religions, equality for all in the neighbourhood, as everyone registered in the town hall, gets the opportunity to use the machene under the same conditions (1 outfit goes in-> 1 goes out in return), it's fair, due to the accessibility, and affordability of our project to everyone.
