Project Description
We have to be able to look after all natural fruits of the fields of our towns. This can be done by allowing (and legally permitting, by amending the law adapting it to these days) a certain amount of persons to water these trees and to take back to their families as many fruits as necessary for each member of the family unit , in exchange. This is my pretty idea to bettering our natural and healthy consumption and at the same time , our fields, connection to earth, sustainability, wellbeing etc.

Description of the project
Summary
The category is Reconnection with nature.
It is a concept or idea (B).
Association with the triangle of values:
1. It's about sustainability of our trees, which are part of nature, from climate goals to circularity, which also means the ground and water cycle, it also has to do with zero contamination and biodiversity; as it will not entail carbon emissions and a well kept fruit field would increase the grounds' ecosystem.
2. The landscape would definitely gain aesthetics. Moreover, quality of agricultural experience and urban style, beyond functionality;
3.We as neighbors and youth, would develop a sense of inclusion, through valuing biodiversity, material (real/applicable in practice, and according to the particular situation) equality for all, accessibility to local fruits and affordability of these as the collected fruits would be a retribution in kind.
The objective is to regenerate the ecosystem, including the grounds conservation and to preserve these trees, fruits, ecosystem and tradition.
Phases:
1.legalise public presence in the field ans permission to grab as many fruits as necessary for the family and it's economic circumstances.
2.announcement of the activity in all the local platforms.
3.applications processing.
4. Approvement and alphabetical organisation so as to whom can do the gardening and collection of fruits, including a limit in number the of fruits by family unit.
5. Acceptance by the applicants of the conditions.
6.informatic town hall control of who when and how many fruits were taken.
Key objectives for sustainability
Objectives:
The ecosystem that would be the fruit fields as green zones preservation, which includes cycles of the ground that filters water to provide it to the trees, so that it can give it's good quality and number of fruits.
Promotion of inclusivity of the youth in agriculture, which is necessary for the future concern of natural resources. Specially, it is a local priority because in Spain the population is composed of many more third age people.
In addition, the youth helping in agriculture would have a positive link to our feelings of productivity and belonging to the nature and neighborhood.
Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
The collection of figs in Madrid is part of the national identity, because it was a tradition, unique there.
The same happens in the Valencian Community but with lemons and oranges.
Similarly, in the Canary Islands with avocados.
When these are visuable, they create a particular landscape, that if well kept, is aesthetical.
When they are tasty, they can create on neighbors and visitors a sense of proudness to be in that area, sorrounded by well kept fields and productive neighbors that recognise the worth of good quality food.
This would also increase tourism.
Key objectives for inclusion
In this century, there are many fields that are abadoned. That's why it is important for neighbors work together to save these trees and their fruits. Furthermore, to have the fair chance to obtain the fruits they need for their family.
This with most probably create a sense of engagement as it is vital for our mental health to feel productive.
This whole idea would entail public accesibility so as to work well. Motif is that families themselves abandon their own field because it cheaper for them to, than to contract agricultors, and afterwards sell the fruits.
For neighbors to water the plants, we need the town hall to provide the water for the fields for free.
The equality principle would entail that the town-hall workers would also have to work on the land to obtain their fruits.
Physical or other transformations
Innovative character
It's about sustainability of our trees, which are part of nature, from climate goals to circularity, which also means the ground and water cycle, it also has to do with zero contamination and biodiversity; as it will not entail carbon emissions and a well kept fruit fields would increase the grounds' ecosystem.
These would become well kept zones, give a good appearance of urban style. Inside the fiels the activities developed would be of a good standard of productivity, as it's meant to be done by all the healthy neighbours, or people who are physically and mentally capable for agriculture, according to their medical history. This is for each individuals' doctor to write in their digital medical file, if they have the capability to do this agricultural activity, by ticking on the box of: capable or incapable.
This idea would increase inclusion of youth to agriculture and local traditions, which leads us to value the diversity of each of Spain's local fruits, fairness for all in exchange of the agricultural activity because the amount of fruit collected depends on the family unit's income and number of members and if ecah capable member comes to do the activity.
Regarding the accessibility, it is according to the heath and agricultural capability or incapability of each person.
In terms of affordability, the fruits that can be taken home are the reward, and the contracted qualified agricultor would have to determin the preservation probability, water L., times of watering,, the costs, and so on, so that the project can develop properly. Concluding, to calculate if it would be a good inversion for the public institution to provide the neighbors and specially, the most vulnerable, with fruits in this way, and only using Caritas in exceptional cases, contrasting it with the savings/benefits of the most probable decrease in costs in Public Mental Health. Bearing in mind that the latter is a positive outcome, that would have a positive effect on society.
