Description of the project
Summary
The aim of the initiative is to record cases of destruction of green areas and provide green spaces to restore cities and territories affected by Russian aggression.
Greening in times of war is not only a symbol of recovery, but also a practical action that improves the environment that suffers as a result of hostilities. It also contributes to improving the quality of life of citizens in different regions of Ukraine and the adaptation of people displaced from dangerous regions and war zones.
The target audience of our project participants are representatives of unions, NGOs and charitable foundations, utilities, institutions, self-organization bodies, city councils and regional administrations, as well as initiative people who are restoring what was destroyed by the Russian horde on their own.
The contribution to the initiative will have a significant positive impact on the nature and future of our country, and by collective efforts we will be able to preserve biodiversity, human health and reduce the impact of war on climate change.
The project was founded by the Octava group of companies together with MegaPlant, Ukraine's largest nursery of outdoor plants, which covers 70% of the cost of plants for the Post War Greening initiative participants.
The synergy of private business, government and local authorities will help not only to restore green areas of cities and communities affected by military aggression and destruction, but also to effectively counteract the environmental disaster caused by the hostilities in Ukraine.
