Description of the project
Summary
The Eco Maison aims to be the reference of online companies selling eco-responsible decorative products for the home, to accelerate the global transition to a sustainable ecological resource scheme. And improve the environmental impact that our consumption habits affect our planet.
The increase in pollution from microplastics is an alarming threat that must be prevented.
For this at L'Éco Maison Décoration, our dream is to leave a clean planet. Our design is to imitate nature, to stay in harmony with it. The products offered by L'Éco Maison Décoration are made from plant binders, wood from local sources, natural clay minerals and plant pigments. All L'Éco Maison Décoration products are biodegradable without leaving toxic or permanent plastic in a time similar to that of natural wood.
We work to replace conventional plastic with beautiful, functional and durable materials.

Key objectives for sustainability
Reduces plastic waste, producing only articles with naturals materials from the local region.
Replace plastics for sustainable materials and and valorise household, industrial and agricultural waste.
Increase creativity, sustainability, circular and fair trade. Maintain integrity through responsible ethical behaviour.

Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
Using basic geometric shapes and primary colors we want to create a contrast with the natural and noble origin of the materials used and reflect on the product’s uilizadores of the origin of the material used. Also ensure that no toxic element was used to generate a color or shape different from nature.
Key objectives for inclusion
use only eco-certified products produced in the region to support local producers and promote the local market. At the same time we maintain a competitive price in the market.
Results in relation to category
Promote local producers and make them known at local level. Inform and educated users how everyday products are made and give them a solution to improve their consummation habits. Reducing household, industrial and agricultural waste giving them a second life
How Citizens benefit
citizens benefit from the creation of sustainable and environmentally friendly consumption options. Promoting a circular market that will limit the impact of our consumption habits. Facilitating options for a responsible purchase.
Physical or other transformations
It refers to other types of transformations (soft investment)
Innovative character
The use of natural materials produced locally as the pine resin and also materials derived from household waste, industry and agriculture as wood sawer, cork, egg shells, coffee waste, corn leaves, etc. to produce functional household items and promoting circular trade.
Disciplines/knowledge reflected
As an industrial designer I can develop the design of products, detect the right materials and production wells and establish a safe production for the industry.
Methodology used
1. analyze materials produced in the region.
2. analyze the type of waste we produce at home, in industry and local agriculture.
3. design a process in which we can mix waste with locally produced materials.
4. study the market that produces the greatest amount of pollution.
5. contact of local producers with ecological values.
6. analyze the limits that citizens have to make an ecological transition in their homes.

How stakeholders are engaged
Thanks to the help of Pôle Emploi I was able to take the time and investment to train with the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce (CCI) to develop a business plan and a viable economic model.
Global challenges
As a small company our production is limited, since our production capacity depends on one person. Also the limitation of the local production of the resin, since the resin collector is made in a specific season of the year.
Learning transferred to other parties
This project can be adapted in other regions, only have to analyze local materials and producers. Establish the type of waste produced locally.
