In addition to making traditional hairstyles, the empowered hairdressers applied the acquired knowledge in making innovative contemporary traditional hairstyles. Every year, as part of the "Ethno hairstyles of the world" workshop and show, hairdressers compete in making traditional hairstyles and hairstyles inspired by tradition. Both categories of the competition develop skills in making ethnic hairstyles, but the category in which hairstyles inspired by tradition are created is completely innovative and applicable in fashion, theater and film arts and other types of art and is an inspiration for artists, local community in private and social activities.

Learning transferred to other parties

Almost all elements of the project can be replicated or transferred to other places, groups of users and contexts because each micro or macro environment has its own specificities in the traditional heritage in the way and skill of making hairstyles.
First of all, there is field research in the way of making traditional hairstyles, then documentation and then the intergenerational transfer of knowledge from older people to younger people through workshops and seminars. The acquired knowledge is applied in the creation of competitive hairstyles in the category of traditional hairstyles and hairstyles inspired by tradition. All participants/competitors present their works at the ethno hairstyle show. Each micro or macro environment brings new information and new conceptual solutions in the application of specific traditional heritage. Also, at the ethno hairstyle show, hairdressers from different regions can present their skills in making ethnic hairstyles. Such an event is an inspiration for different artistic directions. The skills and artistic inspiration of the hairdresser come to the fore.
