The Starry Sky Pavilion is a micro community that can accommodate up to 6 women in situations of extreme vulnerability who need a period of assistance and help at 360 degrees. The Pavilion offers the possibility of having a single room with all the necessary services to "feel at home" and to sharing common spaces – such as the kitchen – with people in the same situation.
The Green Patrol is the voice of citizens, from local communities, who are fighting for environmental protection. It has been filmed since 2010, based on reports sent by CSOs, environmental activists and citizens about environmental threats in local communities. In order to solve or prevent environmental problems, it is necessary to make the problems visible through the media. The aim of the project is to make the problem visible in order to put pressure on decision makers.
WASTE LESS FUTURE. While every garment causes around 20% of loss in resources, we reduce this wasteful production technique to less than 1% within our entire fashion collection by creating innovativ zero-waste patterns. This is only one of the many reasons why we disrupt fashion with our holistic collection, which is unapologetic when it comes to sustainability. Our entire company is build on the strong believe, that we have to lead to a post-capitalist future by example.
Involving neighbors, citizens, tourists, artlovers and an international network of designers, craftspeople, artists and thinkers in discussing, reflecting on and promoting values of sustainability through art, invading the historic city center of Barcelona with a cultural circuit of exhibitions in emblematic spaces, urban art and interventions, actions and performances in public spaces, creating a dialogue with the rich historic and architectonic heritage of the old city and contemporary art.
The project aims to deepen knowledge and disclose the natural heritage of the Azores by building an herbarium with the local community. Participants are involved in naturalistic observation, drawing and field work, promoting a reconnection with nature through this process. In this way, they can establish an emotional relationship with the territory linked to their life experiences. This results in an acknowledgment of our interdependence with the natural world allowing the adoption of new habits
Mestres da Obra is a Social Organization that promotes the personal and collective development of civil construction workers. As a core activity, Art and Humanities Workshops are setup within construction sites where workers take part actively in the sessions together with professionals from different areas, aiming at the quality of life in the daily work and the construction of sustainable values. The activities take place within working hours, valuing the worker as a producer of knowledge.
Do you know that 10% of our cities are empty? We use vacant buildings in order to provide temporary shelters to homeless people. We host refugees, communities of women, families and people who have drug addictions/mental health problems in empty social housing buildings . While our social partners provide individual support, we offer an affordable home to settle down and create self-led communities where users can re-socialise and regain control over their lives (job, emotional stability,...).
The ArtBAR® are mobile, artistic elements developed for the implementation of organizational and security solutions primarily in urban public space with an emphasis on the ability to separate shared spaces from motorized traffic when organizing festivals, concerts, sports events, etc. ArtBAR® elements naturally combine the safety and aesthetics required in the public space of towns. The team strongly applied the ideas of "art for streets" and "sustainable recycling" in the design of the element.
'Viale delle Metamorfosi - L'arte si fa strada' is a festival aimed at investigating the theme of 'metamorphosis' and its declinations, through the languages of contemporary arts. The project addresses the possibility of creating a tangible and intangible heritage in the spaces of social aggregation of the street from which the project takes its name, located in Ponticelli district (Naples, Italy). The project focuses on the phenomena of cultural and social marginality.
Artieda is a 72 people village in the Pre-Pyrenees that has adapted to meet the needs of individuals who work remotely. The village provides access to resources that support remote work, such as reliable internet, coworking space and comfortable accommodation. Also, through community meals, workshops, and social gatherings Rooral Artieda offers a welcoming and supportive community that helps its visitors feel connected and rooted while they work remotely.
