After a long time of separation by the railway, heavy traffic and industrial structures, the Trenčín regains its riverbanks. Thanks to temporary structures, cultural events and placemaking, people of Trenčín are learning how to make relationship with the space that would become a new central district in the future. The long-term participatory decision making, which was behind the architectural competition and the change in the city’s land-use plan, thus continues at the site.

All this in a 200 m2 space equipped with technologically advanced medical equipment, a completely new dental department.
The small village of Rippershausen in southern Thuringia is located in an economically weak part of Germany. For this village, a group of architecture students planned and detailed a long wooden colonnade to create an architectural symbol of the sense of community and the connection between people. In an intensive participatory process, the students built this extraordinary structure together with people from the village community, and it has been actively used ever since.

Color Up Peace is a peacebuilding startup that leverages originally designed intersections of artistic innovation and digital-technological innovation as peacebuilding and freedom-building strategies. Color Up Peace has been working to create virtual, visual and embodied spaces of peace and belonging for such groups of people as displaced Ukrainians. And it has been working to equip its participants with artistic-technological peacebuilding tools to empower them as peacebuilders.
The project consisted of the analysis of the potential of reuse and a pilot plan for the collection and upcycling of waste (furniture, mattresses, appliances, textiles and others such as kitchenware or decorative objects) mainly from the hotel sector. Preparation for reuse and upcycling has been carried out through socio-labor workshops and the creation of jobs in insertion company. The analysis of viability and economic sustainability of the activity has also been developed.
The Municipality of Sfântu Gheorghe is encouraging families and children to walk to school as one of the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable ways to start their mornings. Children participating in the programme meet at predetermined times and collection points, from where they walk to school accompanied by adults. The programme is a volunteer-led group initiative to encourage school children aged 6-10 to walk to school every morning.
