How to live with earthquakes? The project focuses on the future of Falerone, a medieval Italian town damaged by a series of tragic seismic shakes in 2016. The strategy for resilient conservation and its gradual reinhabitation has been developed in close dialogue with the local community, authorities, architects and engineers. A new, experimental crafts school is proposed to allow local craftsmen to pass their skills to new generations and to stimulate local economy based on sustainable know-how.

As our society keeps growing we can see waste piling up while natural resources getting rare.
Should we fear that the only raw materials we will have tomorrow is today’s waste ? “Surf Your Wall” aims to shed light on the potential of discarded building materials as a new re-valued and attractive resource. Our challenge is here to help an insulation wall panel reincarnate into something unexpectedly fun, a surfboard.

The design uses land in Niolo (DR Congo) to create a farm & orphanage for childern, and entire society. The project is charity voluntary of architecs and czech orphanage charity. The project will be built from fundraising budget. We create a sustainable self-sufficient architecture and a environment for social interaction and knowledge. We show that sustainable architecture is affordable and has a much greater impact in developing countries. Only local materials and technology. Cross-education!

Domus Hub is where sustainability, community and beauty thrive: a vibrant connection of structures where nature and people come together.Three spacious yurts, ecologically powered, serve as the hub for workshops, reunions, and social gatherings. Surrounding the tents, you'll find a network of living plant domes that provide sustainable shelter,a food forest where local species and fruits grow. A natural theater where music and storytelling provide a unique and immersive experience for all.

We seek to address the complex development challenges facing rural villages in Slovenia by joining students, travelers, and local providers to live and work together, forming a laboratory to develop and propose new solutions to drive change. We aim to bring vibrancy, entrepreneurship-oriented thinking, and a spirit of co-creation to local communities, give students practical and project-based experience, and give responsible travellers the opportunity to give back and create a positive impact.

In my country, scarred by three tough decades of demographic decline and transition to market economy, a new generation is emerging. My generation of those born after the Revolution, understanding that place transformations have to be imagined and led at local roots. IPbE is built on my drive to empower place-based collaborative ecosystems, rooted in mutual trust and belonging, to lead transformational regeneration initiatives, benefiting community cohesion and entrepreneurship.

The cultural landscape of the Ulló salt fields needs an intervention, a re-linking of this natural area, located on the Vigo estuary with its proto-industrial salt past. So, how to link the proto-industrial past to the natural area of Ulló? This project seeks to activate the memory, for which the proposed actions are both functional and architectural as well as poetic and educational, seeking the feeling of belonging and improving the experience for visitors.

Food composition analysis of traditional dishes could help identify populations’ dietary patterns and association with observed diseases. To deal with these purposes, traditional recipes should be collected from the local population, elaborated and computed in micro and macronutrients composition and allergen content. This helps to highlight health impact of traditional dishes and allows to promote more sustainable lifestyle and preserve biodiversity through consciousness food choices.

The Evros/Meric river marks a border, fortifying the limits of the European Union. Recent political events, such as the refugee crisis and the militarization of Evros, impacted the use of the river. The only way to rebuild the communication between people themselves and the river, is to remind them of their common culture and past. Creating a “bridge” that can spread values, ideologies and practices that make up the region’s common culture, in order to spark the beginning of a common future.
