CO-MIDA model uses the urban space to produce food and energy while restoring at the same time the ecosystem and biodiversity of its environment, thus reducing greenhouse gases and optimising air quality. It is co-designed by the citizens to address their needs and it uses 3d printing technologies which permit its adaptation to multiple environmental and urban conditions. Following its bottom approach CO-MIDA has been physically implemented as a vertical garden in two areas of Barcelona.

K59 is a gentle renovation with a roof extension of a Wilhelminian building in Stuttgart. The gable roof, provisionally rebuilt in the 1950s, makes way for a sustainable roof extension consisting of a timber construction, recycled cellulose insulation and a copper skin applied without adhesive composites in the sense of cradle-to-cradle. A CHP unit was installed to generate heat and energy, which serves the inhouse e-charging stations and feeds the surplus electricity into the city's power grid.

Buropolis is a shared artistic production space bringing together 250 artists, craftsmen and architects in a former office building in Marseille. Produced by the manifold involvement of its occupants working in a logic of co-construction and transversality, this temporary and experimental project provides work spaces but is also an attempt to create a hybrid and “permacultural” art space that enables artistic practices to influence the way an environment is made.

The horizon is that fine line between reality and hope. At A02velas we have designed realities so that people without a horizon reconnect with the place where we are living, with its rivers and surrounded by the sea from which we had been disconnected. Taking care for water is caring for the planet to which we belong. Designing accessible products for all, nature-friendly services and inclusive experiences, with and for people, open up many opportunities to reduce inequalities.

The gardens are part of the 22@ plan to refurbish former industrial areas at the Poblenou district and transform them into a strategic hub of knowledge of activities that involves companies, universities and public organizations. In this sense, the gardens were designed as a place of encountering in the heart of the district. Enclosed by tall office and educational buildings, the place was conceived as a green area in which citizens can relax surrounded by mediterranean plants and trees.

In Solo, Dana Sederowsky has created a character who actively rejects society. A character who refuses to need anyone else.

In short, disjointed sentences, and through lists, protocols, long paragraphs and empty pages, the narrator describes a life in complete isolation. Other people are examined from afar. Their behavior is dissected, analysed and despised. Feverish dreams start to trespass on this repetitive, claustrophobic existence. Slowly, reality begins to come apart.

Ajdovščina has a strong historical and spatial identity, so it was really important that the new interventions subtly integrate into the existing structure.

New interventions were therefore approached with restraint and designed to be largely anonymous and in harmony with the Roman layout of the settlement, preserved Roman ruins and works of architect Svetozar Križaj from the 60s.

Vesanto is a village of just under 2,000 inhabitants in a rural municipality in Finland. At Vesanto, it was built a new log school that provides a healthy and safe learning environment for the needs of basic education and upper secondary school. The school enables communality because it will be also used as a living room for local residents. It is designed ecologically and traditionally. The school is an excellent example for a sustainable, aesthetic and inclusive design.

Local governments team up with their associations for achieving local climate objectives. Thanks to their large membership range, local associations are important partners in local climate actions. There is a lot of potential for reducing energy consumption and making operations more sustainable through better insights and well-considered action, often without major investments. In addition, this project also reaches out to the members of the associations, their families and friends.
