A transparent Market-Seed Bank-Greenhouse to fight the alarming loss of food diversity and culinary memory, focused on the Madrid region. By diversifying crops we create a stronger and flavorful food system. The abandoned “Old Fruit and Vegetable Market of Legazpi”, could link scientists, farmers, cooks and consumers, and create a place to connect Madrileños with local and forgotten produce, introduce them to the world of agricultural research and rejuvenate the Spanish food system.
Regaining a sense of belonging
In our project we aim to create a multifunctional space retrofitting a four-story building in an old industrial site of Budapest, Hungary. Through circular renovation and sustainable methods we aim to create an inclusive and accessible space for all. Collective ownership enables the provision of affordable housing for vulnerable groups (women after facing trauma, young people), and creating space for cooperatives and locals, while also decommodifying the building.
Co-llection is a creative project responding to the erosion of rural narratives. It facilitates international artists and local communities to co-create an evolving knowledge platform where (hi)stories are preserved, transformed and enriched through creative reimagining, transcending traditional archival methods. Through social and cultural interactions, it empowers humans to reclaim narratorship and reconnect to their roots, rekindling a sense of belonging.
