We can improve Milan with a wire suspended on the city. The project of a raised little park within a bicycle path that connect some of the main point of the city and it allows the citizens to move by feet, bicycle, scooter or wheelchair with security, far away from the regional capital’s traffic, surrounded by nature.
Slime Climate Experience Game is a game app based on climate change and global warming. Through augmented reality, the users are entered into a treasure hunt, whose goal is to save the digital ecosystem: stop the spread of the “Slime”, lower CO2 levels, and save the 3D dome that is above the game space using their devices. The key to winning the game is cooperation: through the group experience made of common goals, the 2 teams must collaborate to prevent the ecosystem's health.
Exploratory Cycle: Being a Plant is an art project created for Madeira's nature, aiming to bring together citizens, organisations, plant scientists and farmers to engage with the natural spaces of the island. During the 2-month residency, we held a program for 12 residents, made of three cycles: the Forest (Laurisilva), the Gardens and the Urban Vegetable Gardens.Directed towards artistic creation, we built a Field Notebook, made of various papers to draw and think of plants from each ecosystem.
We aim at develop awareness about the environmental thematic, this is the first focus of our concept, that takes place not only thought communicative approach but also living the space directly.
This focus could be reached by the creation of public spaces that become a link with the consolidated city also going to evaluate the attractiveness of currently degraded and unused areas.
In a context of fragmentation of the built fabric given by the disposal of some urban infrastructures, the design of an open garden - paradoxical compared to the archetypal definition of garden as a confined, enclosed vegetal space - is configured as place for urban and landscape continuity. A harmony that is not limited to redefining the relationships with the immediate and surrounding context, but tries to tell a story that is linked to the landscape experience. An hortus inversus.
The reports on increasing domestic, gender-specific violence during the pandemic are alarming. As a woman I'm used to those warnings. Why don't we use the long established technologies and our support networks to outsmart violence? My project idea aims to assess how existing technologies, such as silent alarms, panic buttons and speech recognition, can equip vulnerable people with the control and power to feel comfortable at home, and stay invisibly connected to their communities.
RiqualifiCanapa by the union of two words: Riqualificare(retrain) and Canapa(Hemp) is a project that arises from the environmental, aesthetic, and social need to redevelop the most deteriorated areas with one of the most used and yet versatile plants in the world: hemp. We want to use hemp to bring wastelands back to health and benefit the community. In line with the EU Green Deal, we want to be actively involved in making EU climate neutral by 2050 by sowing the seeds of a thriving green future
BUM is a method of urban activation that starts from a simple module built with efficient construction methods and sustainable materials. Creating a place that adapts and responds to the many needs of contemporary urban living, the module takes advantage of human interaction and participation as a catalyst to develop a complex system of creation and transformation of the city landscape.
Collectiveness, sharing, equality, temporary settings and adaptability, therefore density and re-interpretation of the existing archetypes.Concepts which identified our site as a proper living being. Every cultural facility was given without any enriching third-space learning, creating a place in which many different activities co-existed without any shared infrastructure. Our design tries to match this lack of infrastructure with a connectivity tissue able to enhance links and create connection
The "Europe 4 All" App will corss borders when it comes to finding solutions for specific social or enviromental causes. It should serve as a network where Europeans can link and connect with other fellow europeans who are interested in the same cause, work in unity, share ideas and merge the work they do, to transcend beyond their countries and give voice to similar causes around Europe.
