For the development of the project, the collaboration of municipal services and/or non-profit entities on the island of Gran Canaria is necessary, since they are the ones who refer the families to La Jaira de Ana.
The project has been developed between the months of May and December 2022 and a total of 77 families have participated, including 77 women victims of gender violence under 36 years of age and 105 boys and girls exposed to the same situation.

On the other hand, create a space for women to share through the creation of workshops related to the primary sector, where they can learn to make products, while their sons and daughters play and actively participate on the farm.

To this end, the following workshops with women are proposed:
- Socio-emotional workshops (directed by a psychologist) in which knowledge of aptitudes and skills for the strengthening of women, personal and social skills, communication and listening and entrepreneurship will be worked on.
- Natural cosmetics workshop (in charge of an artisan) in which guided meditation and aromatherapy will be worked on with women and the preparation of a goat's milk soap and a cream serum that involves self-care strategies and also personal entrepreneurship.

In general, the project is framed within the following objective: to promote spaces for positive coexistence in connection with nature to strengthen the bonds of mothers who are victims of gender violence with their sons and daughters, and the following specific objectives:

1.1. Develop socio-emotional workshops or transformation of local products among young mothers who are victims of gender violence to promote self-esteem and socio-emotional aspects.
1.2. Generate playful spaces for boys and girls to enjoy responsible, environmental and educational leisure.
1.3. Organize awareness days on the importance of natural spaces as a uniting tool for families that have suffered violence, and to make visible the primary sector as a professional opportunity.

With which, the main thing about the project is to create positive emotions in families, respect for themselves and the environment, spaces where they feel safe and breathe the freedom of nature and above all, instill in them self-care towards oneself.
This has been attempted through workshops (described in the previous section), leisure activities and free time through awareness days. These conferences have been held one at the beginning of the project to disseminate it and request the collaboration of organizations and non-profit associations on the island of Gran Canaria, and one at the end of the project to show its results. How Citizens benefit

The workshops that were carried out related and linked to the primary sector have been a fundamental instrument for the empowerment of mothers and, in the case of their sons and daughters, the connection with the animal has been a discovery towards meanings of care and of self care.
This project has made it possible to contribute to the development and strengthening of families, both as a whole and individually. On the one hand, the mothers have felt supported, safe, they have generated new ties of support among the group, they have aroused new incentives, including work, and on the other hand, the girls and boys have enjoyed themselves, they have generated a special bond with the animal, developing and learning compassion and respect towards these, basic values to learn to live in community.
Finally, awakening in young women victims of gender violence that there are other agricultural spaces where they can promote their self-esteem, where they can vent and discover new potential, is a key factor for the future rural development of women, since they are agents of socio-economic change: "Empowering this group is not only essential for the well-being of individuals, families and rural communities, but also for general economic productivity, given the large presence of women in the global agricultural workforce" (UN Women).
