Key objectives for sustainability

Access to Fresh, Local Produce: The presence of roof gardens and in-building farms allows residents to grow their own fresh produce, reducing their reliance on store-bought vegetables and fruits. This direct access to nutritious, locally grown food can improve food security and health.
Sustainability and Self-Sufficiency: By participating in gardening and agriculture, residents can learn sustainable practices and reduce their ecological footprint. They can grow their own food, reduce waste through composting, and produce their energy through bio-gas facilities, promoting energy autonomy and resource efficiency.
Community Building: Participating in gardening and farming activities fosters a sense of community. Neighbors can collaborate on these projects, sharing knowledge, resources, and the produce, which can strengthen social bonds and create a more interconnected neighborhood.
Economic Benefits: Growing one's food and reducing waste can lead to cost savings for residents. This can alleviate financial pressures and lead to a more sustainable and affordable lifestyle.
National Identity and Pride: As Ukraine has a strong connection to its agrarian heritage, these in-building farms can serve as symbols of national identity and pride, celebrating the country's nurturing soil and agricultural history
