Description of the project
Summary
The Klik-Klik wall system is a set of CLT (cross-laminated timber) 100mm five-layer load-bearing wall elements for building frames. It serves as a design solution platform that allows you to plan your dream home, with the advantage of having an ecological, exposed CLT solid wood wall interior, and provides full information on additional materials needed for further wall finishing.
The KLIK-KLIK wall system consists of 16 small-sized elements, and most importantly, it enables DIY construction, providing all the necessary wall panels that can be assembled without the use of additional heavy machinery, thus reducing the ecological footprint during the construction process. Traditional metal connections are not used to join the elements; instead, an innovative and patented wooden wedge connection solution is employed, offering three different types of connections.
The target audience of the KLIK-KLIK wall system is community members who want to engage in DIY home construction without focusing on acquiring in-depth knowledge, as the system's advantage lies in the ability to carry out construction with minimal skills and expertise. The system provides a complete instructional and knowledge cycle for individual builders, with a focus on significantly reducing the ecological footprint, allowing the process to be realized without heavy machinery and without using non-renewable resources (traditional metal connections for wooden partition panels – screws, nails, plates, etc.), utilizing only sustainable, renewable materials. If necessary, the KLIK-KLIK wall system can be disassembled, moved to another location, and undergo repeated wall element assembly.

Key objectives for sustainability
The KLIK-KLIK wall system appears to be a sustainability champ! Let's break down its key objectives and how it stands out in terms of eco-friendliness:
1. Material Choice: The use of CLT (cross-laminated timber) as the primary material is a standout feature. Wood is renewable, and the cross-laminated technique adds strength and stability, maximizing the use of the resource.
2. Minimal Ecological Footprint: By enabling DIY construction without heavy machinery, the system significantly reduces the ecological footprint associated with traditional construction methods. This aligns with the growing trend towards sustainable, low-impact building practices.
3. No Metal Connections: The avoidance of traditional metal connections, such as screws and nails, is a big win for sustainability. Metal extraction and production often have significant environmental impacts, and by relying on a wooden wedge connection solution, KLIK-KLIK minimizes the use of non-renewable resources.
4. Complete Instructional Cycle: Catering to individuals with minimal construction expertise underscores the commitment to inclusivity. By providing a comprehensive instructional cycle, the project encourages a broader audience to engage in sustainable DIY construction, making sustainable living more accessible.
5. Reusability and Portability: The ability to disassemble and move the system to another location adds an extra layer of sustainability. It not only promotes adaptability to changing circumstances but also reduces the need for new construction, which can be resource-intensive.
6. Focus on Renewable Resources: The system's emphasis on using sustainable, renewable materials aligns with global efforts to shift away from non-renewable resources and decrease the environmental impact of construction.

Key objectives for aesthetics and quality
Creating and adapting your living environment is the foundation of family stability. Modularity and adaptability pose significant challenges for a family of variable size. The presence of the process and the acquisition of new skills for lifelong learning are new features of this era.
KLIK-KLIK is a full-cycle solution that allows you to create and customize exactly what you need by using the app to design the building and bring the visualized idea to life within the community, without the need for heavy construction machinery and metal connections. It's important to note that the KLIK-KLIK system has a high modularity factor, allowing the created building to transform according to changing requirements.
For example, when dreaming of building your own home, potential clients are often very cautious because the necessary competencies, including the design process, construction calculations, and coordination, are so specific that they can be more intimidating than inclusive. The KLIK-KLIK app allows you to:
1. Create your home project/layout.
2. Obtain information about the necessary additional materials, insulation, windows, doors, roof structures, etc., allowing for an accurate assessment of overall construction costs.
3. With the support of the KLIK-KLIK team, coordinate the project according to local requirements.
At the same time, the KLIK-KLIK wall system allows the entire wall assembly to be done using only hand tools, without the need for heavy machinery, with a two-person team, following the description and instructions provided by the KLIK-KLIK system.

Key objectives for inclusion
KLIK-KLIK wall system is designed as a community solution, enabling anyone lacking sufficient knowledge or facing inclusion challenges to participate. The existing solution is both open and time-flexible, allowing for the adaptation of the building wall assembly process to each individual's knowledge and abilities. The weight of the heaviest elements in the system does not exceed 70 kg, making them easy to move and assemble for a team of just partners. Knowledge transfer through the KLIK-KLIK app ensures that anyone can engage in the process, realizing and then adapting their ideas for building layout creation.
In creating the existing solution, our focus was on making the process as simple as possible, implementing it both in the KLIK-KLIK app and in the creation of wall elements, whose modularity allows for the realization of a wide range of layout possibilities.

Results in relation to category
In creating the KLIK-KLIK wall system, we focused on maximizing the rational use of materials while minimizing the ecological footprint in the construction process. Our product stands out with its simple assembly, which is done without the use of power tools, and connections are made without the use of metal fastenings. It's worth noting that KLIK-KLIK panels are partially made from offcuts of large CLT sheets, which were previously used as fuel.
During the project implementation, we have established a network of subcontractors responsible for panel production, optimizing the workload of facilities. This has increased our manufacturing productivity and proportionally reduced the inefficient use of human and environmental resources.
